Content : Maya was born in the United States during the terrible period of segregation. From a very early age, the little girl suffers of the discrimination because of her skin color, and a severe trauma silences her. Fortunately, she ends up finding a means of expression that suits her: literature. Sometimes singer, actress and poet, she finds her voice and decides to use it by campaigning in favor of civil rights.
