This book invites you to re-read Sleeping Beauty from the point of view of a young modern reader. Constantly fed with his grandmother's marvellous reading, he dreams of being a modern Prince. At least, that is what he has in mind as he sets out to conquer an old house asleep under the brambles. Will he too awaken a Princess?
Following this first story, readers will find two versions of Charles Perrault's tale: the original, and a summary with commentary by our young modern hero. A tasty change of pace!

A word about the author: Sophie Dieuaide has written so many novels - published in series by Casterman and Nathan - since the mid-90s that she has become one of the leading figures in humorous children's literature in France. In short, almost a ‘classic’ author in the style of Perrault.
