Every summer, Manon joins her cousin Alvida in Tromsø, Norway, to spend the vacations together. This year, equipped with their hats and walkie-talkies, they intercept a very strange conversation... The Svalbard Seed Vault is in danger!
With the help of their parents and the police, they identify the two dangerous strangers who are planning to take the reserve hostage and blackmail governments.

About the author: Joëlle Veyrenc was a school teacher, then a child clinical psychologist and is now a trainer in Paris. Her experience of children's imaginations and their relationship with the world inspires her writing for young people, in which the values of sharing and collaboration are combined with emotional themes. With this title she delivers a lively, funny story in which the complicity of the two cousins takes us back to the carefree enthusiasm of childhood. She has already published Hana et le Vent with La Martinière Jeunesse, in 2022. This is her first book for Kilowatt.
About the illustrator: Arnaud Nebbache lives in Rouen (Normandy), where he teaches applied arts. A graduate of the Institute Saint-Luc in Brussels, he has been working as an illustrator since 2005 in children's publishing, the press and communications. He uses many traditional techniques, including drawing, painting, linocut and stencils, to create compositions full of poetry and humour. He also likes to combine these techniques with digital drawing, which he has mastered to perfection!
