About the authors:
Noémie d'Esclaibes attended the Lycée International Montessori from kindergarten to A-Level. After studying management and applied economics at the University of Paris-Dauphine, in 2014 she co-founded the Montessori International School in Bordeaux-Gradignan, which today welcomes over 120 students from kindergarten to third grade. She was a Montessori educator in kindergarten and currently teaches in elementary and middle school classes.
In 1992, Sylvie d'Esclaibes founded the first international Montessori high school in France, the Athéna Montessori School, of which she is the pedagogical director. She has been teaching Montessori primary classes for children aged 6 to 11 for the past fifteen years. She holds Montessori diplomas for 0/6-, 6/9- and 9/12-year-olds, and has attended numerous training courses given by the President of the North American Montessori Association.
