Kotori (Little Bird in Japanese) is a girl who already knows a lot of things and talks about them well. She is accompanied by a totem animal, which follows her everywhere: Tama, a small pink sparrow in the shape of a ball.

Kotori walks with her aunt near Mount Fuji. She visits a temple, and suddenly comes across a bunch of very restless monkeys. They run away leaving behind a frightened baby monkey. Kotori calms it down and returns it to its grateful mom. This book allows readers to discover the most sacred mountain in Japan, Mount Fuji.

Alice Monard moved to Japan with her family at the end of 2020. She used to work as an ecological engineer and a trainer in ecology. She now works as a journalist and redactor for different magazines related to Japan.

Morgane Boullier was born in Brittany, France. She lived in Paris, Tokyo and Montréal, before moving back to Japan.
