Bobbin Lace - Pochettes in Brioude's Cluny Polychrome

Content : Cluny lace is a technique established in Auvergne-Velay from the 16th century.
Odette Arpin - a great specialist - enriched it by developing the first innovation in decades: Brioude Cluny polychrome, lace appellation now recognized worldwide.

The well-constructed lace is sprinkled with colourful
accents. This technique is a skilful blend of various "points d'esprit", "roulottés", "mat", where the colour circulates freely.

This book is linked to a research work on lace preservation made between the XIXth and the middle of the XXth century.

It offers readers the creation of 10 patterns, inspired by these models, and using the Brioude Cluny polychrome technique.
