Lace Arabesque of Cordoba

Content : The lace artist Ángel Sánchez Sirviente was inspired by Arab-Andalusian architectural ornaments, especially those of Cordoba, to create a unique style of lace.
Composed of sinuous laces finishing on floral patterns, this lace is distinguished by:
• the use of a gold or silver thread,
• the use of silk thread,
• the composition in modules. There is no background between each lace, they are hooked directly between them.
The points used are well known by lacemakers making this lace accessible to all.
