Could we escape this media ritual? To find out for sure, the publisher put the question to three wildfire specialists: a botanist, a zoologist and a paleontologist. They gave surprising answers on fire, its rhythms, its effects on living things: between what everyone believes and what they have observed, the difference is so huge that they could not leave it like that. They also needed the point of view of the sociologist, the firefighter and the prevention specialist.
Finally, they collected the suggestions of those who for years have been thinking about ways to limit the tragedies caused by fires and advocating for the establishment of a fire-tolerant forest.
