When he wakes up, the library has been transformed. A secret organization, the army of mechanical rats, is pushing carts of ailing books through the aisles under the orders of an authoritarian cat.

But now he is accused of espionage! To avoid having his memory erased, he agrees to undertake missions as dangerous as they are thrilling: archiving the Chaos, rescuing characters abandoned by their authors, hunting the Gluttoword…
