My Life in Black and White
Content : Ana, 14, writes her future novel during lessons and loves films from the fifties. No surprise there — they are in black and white! Born achromat, she cannot see colours and so dreams her life in shades of grey, black and white. On a quest to find her unknown father, she heads to Paris with Kylian, her Black friend, to meet a famous photographer fascinated by black-and-white photography. Who knows? Perhaps he will help her understand why life has saddled her with this strange gene?
About the author: Delphine Bertholon, born in 1976, grew up in Lyon, just a stone’s throw from the Lumière brothers’ home. Later, she moved to Paris to join friends who wanted to become film directors. Alongside them, she became a screenwriter while continuing to pursue her literary career.
In 2007, she joined Lattès publishers with her first novel, "Cabine Commune". This was followed by "Twist", "L’effet Larsen", "Grâce", "Le soleil à mes pieds" and "Les corps inutiles".
She published her first novel for young readers with Rageot.
