Content : Practicing mindfulness as a family is a great activity to nurture bonds and ease tensions. Children have this natural ability to be fully present, at least at the beginning: they discover what surrounds them with their senses on the alert and live carefree of what will happen next.
Parents can learn from their children. And children learn to keep and cultivate this innate ability to be fully present thanks to their parents.
This book offers to readers 8 meditation sessions faithful to Eline Snel's methodology. Each of them comes in different stages allowing to experiment in conscience the subjects treated. They are adapted to the different level of ages thanks to:
- an illustrated preamble story,
- practices in motion,
- two meditations, one for the smaller children (4-7 year-old) and one children 8+
- proposals for informal practices on a daily basis.
The topics of these sessions were chosen to help children grow in harmony with themselves and with others:
- paying attention to breathing: observing it, feeling it
- paying attention to senses: use them to develop them
- paying attention to your body: we feel it, he sends signals
- paying attention to your emotions: we feel them, they communicate with us
- paying attention to your thoughts: observe them before acting
- paying attention to yourself: to be kind to yourself
- paying attention to others: communicate with kindness
- paying attention to our natural environment: respect it.
