About the author:
Angélique Mariet is a manga and anime translator as well as a private tutor. She first learnt Japanese on her own, then studied it at the university before moving to Japan.
Her background enables her to understand and listen to the difficulties faced by beginners.
She has called her method ‘Susume!’, which means ‘Go for it’, ‘Get started’, because her aim is to get you to enjoy learning Japanese without giving up!
