A version of Goldilocks where the text sings. A real delight to read aloud. We find the curious Goldilocks in the house of Papa, Mama, and Baby Bear in the middle of winter. Anne Crahay’s world invites readers to open their eyes wide. The round little bear family is simply adorable. The warm house with its colorful walls and the snow-covered garden are full of surprises: see the smoke rising from the chimney along with the breakfast bowl and spoon, the cutaway house that lets us jump from room to room… Even the layout plays with the reader: the placement of the text interacts with the illustrations. A true dialogue is created.
