The author: Florence Pinaud grew up in Antibes before studying journalism and audiovisual media in Paris. She now divides her time between Toulouse and Málaga in Andalusia. A former teacher, she is still a journalist and author. Fascinated by science, she has been writing non-fiction books for young readers since 2012, making complex topics accessible and giving children the tools they need to form their own opinions. She regularly publishes titles with Actes Sud Junior on animal and scientific subjects for readers aged 8 to 12. Since 2018, she has also been working with Nathan and Éditions du Ricochet, creating books aimed at a teenage audience.

The illustrator: After completing a Master’s degree in Visual Communication at ECV Paris, Léa Taillefert-Rolland became a graphic designer and illustrator. She works with clients from a wide range of fields, including the press, publishing, brand communication, and cultural institutions. Through her creations, she seeks to express a playful, pop, and vibrant graphic language. A true lover of colours, she places great importance on their use in her compositions.
