Content : A young woman who feels out of step with her community discovers that she has extraordinary powers: she can read the code that governs the order of the world.
Qil struggles with adolescence: an outsider among the humans of the Bordes, she hides her epileptic seizures. Her encounter with an Avae changes everything: her seizures are in fact trances that allow her to read the code of the world.
Finally finding a place where she belongs, Qil flees North and joins Avae society, where she is trained for ten years by a great scholar. But one question haunts her: why her?
With the help of Eng, her only friend, she seeks to understand her power and the role she must play in a world governed by the code.
