Kyrian and Mira are over the moon: they’ve been chosen to join the Dome and become Pupils of I.R.I.S., the artificial intelligence that embodies humanity’s last hope! After years of war and famine, the teenagers believe they are finally getting the chance to help build a better world, guided, trained, and protected by the AI beneath its glass canopy. At least, that is what Kyrian thought…It has been days since he last saw Korbhen, his best friend, who was mysteriously removed from the programme after a so-called system glitch. When Mira suddenly vanishes too, doubt creeps in. Is the Dome really the sanctuary it claims to be — or is there something far more dangerous hiding beneath the glass?

A total immersion in a science fiction universe: In the story, pet robots spy on their owners, a malevolent AI pulls the strings of the pupil programme, and android teachers roam the Dome… all for the delight of young SF readers!

About the authors:
After more than fifteen years of journalism at the daily newspaper Midi Libre, Anne Loyer set aside other people’s stories to focus on her own. For nearly fifteen years, she has been writing for both young readers and adults, publishing picture books and novels (children’s and young adult) with Casterman, Slalom, Poulpe Fictions, Mijade, D’Eux, Éditions du Rocher, Thierry Magnier, Glénat Jeunesse, À pas de Loups, Kilowatt…She also contributes to children’s magazines, notably Je Bouquine.

Former teacher turned author, Delphine Pessin lives near Bourges, in the Centre region. In 2018, she was one of the winners of the Émergences writing competition organised by the Charter of Children’s Authors and Illustrators. Her books explore themes of living together, sometimes with seriousness, sometimes with a touch of whimsy. Winner of the Prix des Incos with Extra.
