When Hari meets Indira in the jungle of Bengal, it is love at first sight. Hari is an inventor, Indira a florist, and they live far apart. They began a correspondence. While Hari invents a whole host of machines to deliver his letters, Indira prefers to answer him by post. Because every time, there's a problem: the machines scare away the birds, destroy the flowers in the garden and smoke everyone up. When Indira stops writing to him, Hari bounces back and builds a superb tandem bicycle. Now they can travel the world together without noise or smoke.
The colored pencil illustrations are enchanting: beautiful Indian motifs, rainbow colors and an abundance of detail.
