Content : Toutouville is a pleasant place to live, so when the weather vane at the town hall goes missing, Inspector Fin Limier is ready to investigate! The picture book begins by immersing readers in an imaginary, ideal city where dogs live in harmony. ‘There are no masters or mistresses. Everyone roams free and takes care of each other. All good dogs and doggies’. Now, that is a story that starts off well! Then, there is a hitch. Obviously... otherwise, no story! However, Inspector Fin Limier conducts his investigation with composure. And the text takes us along the path of his deductions, to meet the quiet citizens of Toutouville. In the end, the thief is unmasked, but there is no need to make a big deal of it! (Well, just this one!)
About the author:
Does Bernard Villiot have a dog? We would have to investigate! No doubt he loves them so much that he has invented a whole city for them, and one that is so pleasant to live in! This loyal author, who has many strings to his creative bow - as he is also a scriptwriter and television director - is back here with the whimsical tone of Bazar à Bisouville, Tahirou le roi des Papous and Drôles de locataires dans l'abécédaire, also published by L’Elan Vert.
About the illustrator:
Gérald Guerlais, too, is a man of many talents: events, video games, press, cartoons... he knows how to draw for everything and everywhere! He is published by Gautier-Languereau, Fleurus, Flammarion, Milan, Sarbacane... and is the director of the ‘Petits Livres d'Or’ collection by Deux Coqs d'Or (Hachette). It is a pleasure - and an honour! - for L’Elan Vert to start working with him.
