No Need to Panic, Santa!

Content : It’s the big day — Father Christmas is all set to go on his tour with his sleigh. Well… almost. The reindeer are sick! And even the potion from Cure-all, the elf, isn’t working. “Don’t panic!” said Illico, the cleverest of the elves. “If the reindeer are poorly, let’s replace the sleigh.” Wild geese, quad bike, magic carpet, dragon, cargo bike, spaceship… Brilliant ideas or complete disasters? Each time, it’s a hilarious, spectacular failure! Father Christmas begins to lose hope when, PHEW!, the reindeer are back on their feet. The medicine just needed a little more time. No time to waste now! Let the gift-giving begin. Ho, ho, ho!

About the author: After studying musicology, Christelle Saquet turned to teaching. She has been a primary school teacher in nursery classes since 2002 and created the character “Grafi” to help her pupils learn about graphic design concepts. From this idea came her first picture book, Grafi Has Fun. She has published “Bonbec Boy”, The Hunter’s Hunt, The Insect Orchestra, and the “Ticajou” series with L’Élan vert.

About the illustrator: Éric Gasté was born in 1969 in Angers. After studying at the École Estienne, he became a graphic designer and copywriter at Bayard Presse. Today, he lives in Toulouse, where he works full-time as an illustrator. He has already published books with many publishers, including Bayard Jeunesse, Milan, Nathan, Épigones, Actes Sud Jeunesse, and Flammarion.
